2nd International (Virtual) Conference on “Climate Change Governance and Law

Greetings from Faculty of Law, GLS University!

We are pleased to announce that the Faculty of Law, GLS University is coming up with 2nd International (Virtual) Conference on “Climate Change Governance and Law”, to be hosted virtually on 6th-7th August, 2022.

To commemorate the Semi-Centennial Year of Stockholm Declaration (50 years) and Semi-Sesquicentennial Year of Independence of India (75 years), Faculty of Law has taken an initiative to walk an extra mile on the glory of ‘Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav’ by organizing a thought-provoking conference on “Climate Change Governance and Law” under Environmental Law Clinic (ELC). The International Conference aims to address the impacts of climate change on ecosystems and it will identify, test and implement measures aimed at managing the risks that climate change poses to fauna, flora and micro-organisms. The conference will revolve around the mitigation and adaptation actions for climate change. It mobilizes a scientific platform to review the contribution towards the environment. We hope to create a space, where alternative ideas of the environment, distinct from the current ones that covers the notions of Climate Change, can be incepted and discussed.

The present conference is to be organized virtually and the paper presentations will be held on virtual platform in due consideration of the complexities posed by the present times and accordingly, keeping in mind the best interest of the participants. Submitted papers will be evaluated through a blind peer-reviewing process and the best papers shall be published in ISSN GLS Law Journal.

We invite lawyers, academicians, activists, social scientists, members of NGOs, engineers and technocrats, management professionals, economic experts, health professionals, industry delegates, undergraduate and postgraduate students, research scholars and foreign delegates to participate in the conference by contributing paper(s) for the same.
