The oldest government law college was established in 1955. This was separated from Dharmendrasinhji College in 1978 and established as an independent college. Respectable Late Shri Amrutlal Mansang Parekh, who was engaged in various social and educational activities, donated a sum which is used for the college building and to respect and honor him this college is named Amrutlal Mansang Parekh Govt. Law College after his name. This college reveals a history in the heart of Rajkot. It has consistently contributed in the development of the state and society. This college has given many skilled politician including Chief Ministers and other Ministers, Vice Chancellor, Great judges and knowledgeable lawyers to Indian judiciary and skillful administrators to the society.
