Dear Collaborators, 

Please find attached herewith the call for the chapter for publication in the Edited Book with ISBN No “Greening IP for the Protection of Environment: Renditions and Prospects”. The detailed guidelines for submitting the chapter are mentioned in the document provided with the mail as an attachment.

The book is designed to invite deliberations on the role of Intellectual Property Rights in protecting the environment. Protection of the environment is oftentimes parsed as sustainable development from a constricted and confined viewpoint of development. The historical tensions between the industrialised North and the underdeveloped South that are reflected in the topography of the various regimes within the master framework of International Law. This book attempts to uncover the restricted meaning of the protection of the environment as well the broad meaning of protection which castigates the emphasis upon the development and treats it as situated within the IP regime. 

The book is intended to explore the idea in detail from a variety of viewpoints. The book will explore the issues related to green intellectual property, technological transfer, climate change, sustainable development, polluter pays principles, emerging liability, transboundary pollution, protection of biodiversity, carbon trading etc.

The book invites original and unpublished submissions from academicians, practitioners and other legal professionals, representatives of governmental and non-governmental organisations, research scholars, students etc. on the broad themes mentioned below.
